Ah, legal spankings from other adults besides your own folks. It happened often in 1801 America as a 11-year-old Roderick is about to find out.

Roderick and 10-year-old Niles are best buds and love to play all over the town. However, when they stumble upon Ol' Harrison's farm a young 7-year-old Emily begs them to let her play with them. The boys refuse and proceed to throwing mud-pies at her to chase her away. She then cries for her father who does not delay, bringing his horse-whip with him. Niles manages to escape but Roderick runs right into Mr. Harrison.

35-year-old Mr. Harrison had seen better days and looked tired and haggard. Ever since his wife passed away, Tom's appearance declined and became more wild. It is not until Emily is a bit older that she begins to dress him with better clothing she makes and helps him keep up the appearance.

Poor Roderick had to feel the wrath of Mr. Harrison's horse-whip that day.
