Mayflower Compact by saylem Mayflower Compact by saylem
Well, here is my Happy Thanksgiving card. :) I hope your Thanksgiving is wonderful and there is much to be thankful for. :heart:

Well I went with featuring the warlock, George Jacobs (who was a puritan with the colony) and the other werewolf, Istas (who is a native to North America).

The writing in the background is from the Mayflower Compact in 1620.

Just a not since journals are unpopular, there will be no PW page this Friday either. I'm in the middle of final projects for school and a few personal commissions and I'm putting out applications for a new gig. I'm burnt out on my current job.
I feel that my art is lacking. I don't know what but It's just kinda blah. You know what I mean? Like limp, un-shiny hair. My art needs a makeover.

Anyway! enough of that personal nonsense. I hope you guys are having a great week and Hello new watchers!!! I hope not to disappoint. :D :D :D

George Jacobs and Istas belong to me.

Oh very nice, and they remind me slightly of my own unproduced characters which is an added bonus :nod: This would make such a great card! Very nice details especially on the background, it flows smoothly and makes this image look very professional & I am so happy to have found you and your story! I'm still new to it and don't have the slightest clue what's going on though ^^;

Personally I love your art and don't think it NEEDS a makeover, but it's always good and healthy to experiment and try different things as an artist. I really dig this piece, though. Awesome timing for the holiday (although my comment is kinda late =P).

I think this is a really good picture. Here's what I tell my artists when they feel their work has become stale or limp. Try something new or fresh! You'd be surprised at how it might jump start some new ideas. I had always been a traditional artist but discovered digital art and now I'm hooked! Try something different this week and BTW Happy Thanksgiving to you as well!

Nice but the costumes aren't historically accurate. You however do have a very distinct drawing style so that's all good ^_^

Hmm...I kind of see what you mean. Your art style definitely stands out, and it's consistent, but could perhaps use more detail or varied expression with the characters.

Maybe look through some of your old scrapbooks and works. You may get inspired. :)

Have a good week, and God bless.

Thank you! You are a sweetie!

Yeah, I'm gonna start taking some artistic risks I think. :)
